The Geneva Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Virage Beauty Bar, 102 E. State St. in Geneva on Jan. 28. Owner Jeseleyn Matos cut the ribbon held by her husband, and co-owner, Eucario Matos and City of Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns.
On Jan. 28 a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for Krazy Krates, a new family-owned retail store, located at 114 W. Green Street in downtown Bensenville. Village President Frank DeSimone was joined by store owners Abigail and Cinthya as they cut the ceremonial red ribbon to celebrate the opening of their new store. The store is owned and operated by Mariana, Cinthya, Abigail, and their family. They were joined by Village officials, Village staff, and members of the Bensenville Chamber of Commerce.
The Batavia Chamber of Commerce, along with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, celebrated the opening of Rookies All-American Pub & Grill in the Fox Valley Ice Arena, Geneva with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Jan. 20. Rookies took over management of the restaurant space that overlooks the NHL-sized rink last summer. Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke and Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns welcomed Bob Karas, owner and Grant Werner, executive chef and partner of Rookies in Geneva, wishing them success with their latest location. Along with staff of both chambers, those in attendance included Craig Welker, general manager of the Fox Valley Ice Arena and Dan Lehv, president of the Chicago Steel, as well as family, friends, and Steel mascot, Rusty.
X-Golf Schaumburg hosted a ribbon cutting on Jan. 21 for a grand opening. Joined by the mayor and village trustees we took a look around this great new space that is open for business at 1100 American Lane in Schaumburg.
The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Lake Barrington gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on January 12 to celebrate the opening of Athletico Physical Therapy located at 5069 Shoreline Rd. in Lake Barrington.
