North Central College introducing Doctor of Physical Therapy program

North Central College is introducing a Doctor of Physical Therapy program and expects to enroll its first cohort of students in January 2023.

The program will fall under the college's School of Education and Health Sciences and build upon the knowledge students gained while earning their undergraduate degrees to pursue a career in physical therapy.

In June, the college will apply for accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.

The 28-month program will be the only pass/no pass program of its kind offered in Illinois, according to college officials.

Students interested in applying to the DPT program can do so at ptcas.org. To be part of the January 2023 cohort, students must submit applications by May 16.
