DAR Chapter Completes 2021 With Yearend Giving

Barrington, IL-based Signal Hill Chapter, NSDAR, completed another unprecedented year by fulfilling its mission to support local non-profits through monetary donations. Due to its fund-raising efforts throughout 2021, the chapter was able to distribute $19,000 to various local charities and organizations, specifically in the areas of historic preservation, education, patriotism, conservation and Native Americans, including:

Encore Music Academy Youth Orchestra of Crystal Lake, IL, Harper College Education Foundation Promise Program, Elgin History Museum, Lake County Forest Preserve Preservation Foundation Bess Bower Dunn Museum, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier - A marker for Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington, IL, Wreaths Across America, Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, USO of Illinois - Great Lakes, NSDAR - Friends of American Indian Scholarship, Friends of the Fox River, and Green Youth Farm in Lake County, in addition to several other organizations.

The Signal Hill Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) was founded in Barrington, IL in 1972. NSDAR is a volunteer women's service organization headquartered in Washington, DC. Since its founding in 1890 over one million women have joined both nationally and around the world.
