Bears outside linebacker Robert Quinn is NFC Defensive Player of the Month

Bears outside linebacker Robert Quinn earned NFC Defensive Player of the Month recognition following a stellar November, the NFL announced Thursday.

Quinn had 5.5 sacks in three games throughout the month. He had 14 total tackles, five tackles for loss, six quarterback hits and one forced fumble. For the season, Quinn has a team-leading 11 sacks, which is tied for fourth in the league.

Quinn had 3.5 sacks against the Baltimore Ravens Nov. 21 at Soldier Field. It was just the third time since 1988 that a Bears player recorded three sacks in one game.

Quinn is the first Bears defender to win NFC Defensive Player of the Month since safety Eddie Jackson won the award in November 2018. The last Bears player honored for a monthly award on offense, defense or special teams was kicker Cairo Santos, who won the special teams award in December 2020.
