Celebration of Diwali by donating 1953 lbs of food to Vernon Township Food pantry
SewaDiwali is an initiative by Dharmic communities, individuals and organizations like Yoga, Spiritual, Hindu/Buddhist/Sikh/Jain centers, Temples, Gurudwaras, Linguistic and Indian socio-cultural organizations who believe in the Sewa Dharma, i.e. Service to Humanity is Service to Divinity.
As part of the #SewaDiwali initiative/campaign following organizations and families associated with them came together to donate food. Organizations are Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS), SVG Charity - Swaminarayan Temple, Wheeling, Lake County Indians Association and Chinmaya Mission. Together we donated 1953 lbs of food to Vernon Township Food Pantry today in the presence of Illinois State Representative Mr. Daniel Didech.
