BOTTOM LINE: New York visits Vegas after the Islanders shut out Arizona 3-0. Ilya Sorokin earned the victory in the net for New York after recording 26 saves.

Vegas finished 40-14-2 overall with a 21-5-2 record at home a season ago. The Golden Knights averaged 3.4 goals and 5.8 assists per game last season.

New York went 32-17-7 overall in the 2020-21 season while going 11-13-4 on the road. The Islanders scored 2.7 goals per game while allowing opponents to average 2.2 last season.

The matchup Sunday is the first meeting of the season for the two teams.
