Ballard Road to be resurfaced between Des Plaines and Niles
The resurfacing of a long stretch of Ballard Road between Des Plaines and Niles will begin Monday, the Illinois Department of Transportation announced. The construction zone will stretch from Rand Road in Des Plaines through Park Ridge to Greenwood Road in Niles. Lanes will be closed daily. The project should be completed in late fall, officials said in a news release. Access to residences and businesses in the work zone will continue.
