Schaumburg GOP to host forum for District 211 candidates March 27

The Schaumburg Township Republican Organization will host a forum for the eight candidates running for the Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 board of education, during its monthly breakfast meeting Saturday, March 27.

The forum will run from 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. at Chandler's Chophouse, 401 N. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.

The candidates are seeking three available seats on the board in the April 6 election.

The forum will begin with opening statements and be followed by a question-and-answer period.

Also, the four uncontested candidates for the Schaumburg Township Elementary District 54 board of education will be introduced and each allowed a brief statement.

Registration will be open at 7:50 a.m. and the program will begin at 8:30 a.m. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling the STRO office at (224) 353-6543.

COVID guidelines will be followed for the meeting, including face masks, temperature checks and social distancing. Hand sanitizer will also be widely available.

To help defray the cost of the hot breakfast buffet, STRO asks for a $15 contribution from members and a $20 contribution from nonmembers.
