"All In: The Fight for Democracy" Red Carpet Virtual Movie Viewing & Panel Discussion

Sunday, October 25, 2020 â€" 2:00 p.m. CST

Hosted by the Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. & The League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area

Join the conversation and share your thoughts during the "All In: The Fight for Democracy" Red Carpet Virtual Movie Viewing and Panel Discussion. Together, we will watch the critically acclaimed documentary starring voting rights activist, attorney, and author Stacey Abrams.

Guests are invited to listen to a robust conversation with Traci O'Neal Ellis, Chief Human Resources & Equity Officer and Chief Legal Officer of the Illinois Mathematics & Science Academy; Rev. Clyde H. Brooks, Chairman & CEO of the Illinois Commission of Diversity & Human Relations; and the Honorable Patrick Watson, Democratic State Central Committeeman for Illinois’ 6th District and Head of Political Action for the DuPage County NAACP, while also discussing their perspectives on voter rights and suppression.

The New York Times describes the documentary's message as simple yet direct, "vote because it's your right. Vote because it has an impact. Vote because previous generations have fought to ensure that all Americans have access to the ballot - often in the face of enormous headwinds, and sometimes at the expense of their livelihoods and even their lives."
