Adler Arts Center Conversation: 'Cultivating Happiness'
The Adler Arts Center's pay-what-you-can virtual conversation series continues Thursday, October 29 at 6pm with special guest, Erin Murphy of Libertyville's Black Cat Yoga.
In "Mind + Body Mediation," Murphy will discuss ways to cultivate happiness, ways to stay grounded during moments of chaos, and ways to connect peacefully with your community. Virtual participants will also have the chance to participate in guided meditation.
"We're all faced with stress, challenges and things that make us uncomfortable on a daily basis," writes Murphy. "If we can leverage sitting with discomfort, we can train our brains to use it for happiness."
The Adler Arts Center's Conversation Series features discussions with artists and community members with a connection to Libertyville. Past conversations have featured stylist Sarah Potempa of Beachwaver and B.Bungalow, musician and rocker Ike Reilly, and Hamilton's Phillipa Soo.
Participants should register online and will receive a Zoom link before the event. All donations will benefit the Adler Arts Center. Donations will help alleviate serious funding gaps due to COVID-19 and will help support free community art and music programming.
