Crash claims life of Schaumburg woman

A Schaumburg woman died in a one-vehicle crash in unincorporated Palatine Township early Monday morning.

She was identified as Michelle Avila, 22.

The Cook County sheriff's office responded to the call of a crash shortly after 5 a.m. Monday. The Palatine Rural Fire Department was already on the scene.

The sheriff's office said Avila's white Nissan Rogue SUV ran off the roadway north of Central Road on Roselle Road and hit a tree.
