Drive-through parade at St. Emily School

With a backdrop of "WE MISS YOU" in the windows, and snow on the ground, St. Emily School faculty, staff, pastor and Eagle mascot, waved, cheered, and blew kisses from scarved faces to students and parents at a drive-through parade Friday, April 17.

Do the teachers miss their students? Absolutely! They yelled, "How are you doing? I miss you! Good to see you!" and as each car passed, more tears fell from faculty eyes.

It was emotional for the parents and students, too. Moms and dads were trying to drive slowly through the parade while wiping away tears. Students were cheering out car windows, and through open car roofs.

A much needed event on a snowy April day, when we also learned schools would remain closed for the year.
