Beginning Monday, March 30, the city is hosting web presentations to businesses walking through the steps to apply for funding programs. Various programs are available and deadlines are quickly approaching.
The Hospitality Emergency Grant Program is for bars, restaurants, and hotels and would provide assistance with payroll, job training, operating costs and rent.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, and recipients will be chosen on Saturday, April 4.
The city's webinar at 2 p.m. Monday, March 30, will outline the application process. Contact the city to receive a business certificate if you plan to apply. The application site is www2.illinois.gov/dceo/SmallBizAssistance/Pages/EmergencySBAIntiatives.aspx.
The other key program available right now is the Small Business Association's Economic Injury Disaster Loan that provides loans up to $2 million to assist with payroll, bills and mortgages. The how-to checklist for this program is on the City's website and the City will host a web presentation in the near future for businesses.
Additional federal stimulus funds are coming soon. Businesses are encouraged to contact the city at (815) 356-3605 or email@example.com to be notified of new programs and tips for applying.
