St. Charles Women's Club to host Rockathon spring fundraiser March 21

On Saturday, March 21, the St. Charles Women's Club presents a live music "Rock-athon" benefiting Lazarus House, Mutual Ground and the scholarship program. The event will be held from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at Alibi Bar & Grill, 12 N. Third St. in St. Charles.

Headliners include: In Session, Blue Lincoln and Latest Rumor.

Bring friends and come out to Alibi to support the club's spring fundraiser. All money raised will go toward the club's nonprofit partnerships this year, Lazarus House and Mutual Ground. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will support two scholarships.

The evening will feature silent auctions, raffles, and more.

Tickets are $30, with a $2.17 online fee. For tickets, find the event listing on www.EventBrite.com.

Attendees will have a chance to bid on silent auction items that evening. The club would like to partner with local businesses. Have your company's items on display for the bidding. If you would like to be a part of this year's event, message the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Stcwomensclub/. The deadline is Wednesday, March 11.

The St. Charles Mothers' Club was founded in 1924 by Dr. Edith Lowry to provide mothers with guidance for the proper physical care of their babies. Since then it has evolved into a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization that supports the community in many ways. In 2017, it transitioned to a women's club to include all women to engage, empower, and enrich.

Club members work together to improve the lives of women, children and families in the community through philanthropic activities and community outreach events. The club also provides members with a friendly community dedicated to supporting its members. They are looking for women in the Fox Valley area who want to enhance the community, make friends, and have a good time.

Do you know a female senior enrolled in a high school within the St. Charles Unit District 303 boundaries or an adult female living or working within the school district boundaries and enrolled in a degree program who would like some financial assistance? Every year, the club gives out two scholarships to qualified candidates. Fill out the application for the Sherry Costello Memorial Scholarship and email it to SCWCApps@gmail.com by Wednesday, April 1 for review.
