Endorsement: Goslin for Cook County Board District 14

Cook County Board District 14 incumbent Gregg Goslin, a Glenview Republican and businessman seeking his sixth term, faces a strong challenge from Scott Morrison, an attorney who has served on the Glenview village and school boards. In a sign of how the perceived leanings of the district have changed, the Cook County Democratic Party has provided more than $100,000 in support for Britton. While Britton is a strong candidate who maintains he can be independent despite the level of party assistance, there is a need for Republican voices on a board dominated by Democrats. Goslin, who says this is his last run, shows on his questionnaire the value of the experience he has built. The county is best served by his reelection for another term.
