Oak Brook Hilton debuts Tin Cup pub makeover
The Tin Cup pub opened at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center and offers a casual menu, two golf simulators, widescreen TVs and an outdoor patio near an 18-hole golf course.
Formerly called The Grille, the new Tin Cup was named after the golf movie starring Kevin Costner. Opening last month, the interior underwent a $30,000 makeover with new wallpaper, carpeting, furniture and decor to provide a rustic pub look, said Brad Ott, director of club operations.
"We wanted to cater to the local people and bring them inside, along with golfers," Ott said.
The 88-seat pub, which overlooks the Championship Willow Crest Golf Club, offers scratch-made burgers, sandwiches, salads, and other pub fare made by Chefs Hector De La Rosa and Jose Valdez. Prices range from $4 to $15. The bar has various liquors, wines and beers, including those from Downers Grove-based Alter Brewing, and an exclusive partnership with the Tin Cup branded whiskey.
The Tin Cup pub also will feature live entertainment on Fridays.
For players who want to practice their game, golf simulators offer an experience for up to four players. It costs $35 per hour on Monday through Thursdays, and $45 per hour on Fridays through Sundays.
