Boomers struck down by ThunderBolts

The Windy City ThunderBolts scored runs in each of the first four innings to hand the Schaumburg Boomers a 7-1 loss in the middle game of a series on Saturday night.

Windy City built a 7-0 lead and was able to overcome 12 strikeouts to hand the Boomers a seventh consecutive defeat.

Scott Schultz took the loss on the hill, allowing 7 runs on 12 hits in 5 innings of work. Schultz struck out 8 and struck out the side in the fifth. Derek DeYoung, Evan Boyd, and Dexter Price combined to throw the final three innings without allowing a run.

Tobias Moreno reached base three times, tallying 2 hits, a walk, a stolen base, and a run. James Keller picked up a pair of hits as the Boomers finished with seven.
