Give autumn warm welcome with Harvest Bonfire

Say hello to the season of pumpkin spice and everything nice at the Schaumburg Park District's Volkening Heritage Farm.

Harvest Bonfire is set for 6-8 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Heritage Farm, 201 S. Plum Grove Road. The event features a wagon ride through Spring Valley and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over an open fire. Participants also will enjoy a lantern-lit tour of the historic barn and farmhouse.

"The Harvest Bonfire is a great way to kick-off the fall season," said Patty Kennedy, Heritage Farm program coordinator. "This event is a simple and fun way to enjoy a night out."

Admission is $7 per person and free for children 3 and younger.
