Let's study crossing at Central & Busse

I strongly agree with Westbrook teacher Janice Zemaitis and local resident Chuck Bennett about the safety issues at Central and Busse roads. I too am a bike rider who enjoys riding Melas Park but have always crossed at the intersection, never trusting the new yellow light pedestrian crossing. Yellow means caution to most drivers, not stop.

The crossing at the corner with stoplights is dangerous also as many drivers disregard the "stop before turning on red" rule. Also many whip into the strip mall after a left turn at Busse with no warning to pedestrians/bicyclists.

We all need to be respectful of others no matter how they travel. This tragedy needs to makes all of us more aware!
