Trump presidency is what's really scary

"Make America safe again." That was the theme of the opening night of the 2016 Republican convention this past Monday. I watched most of the red-meat speeches and the theme appeared to be more like make America scared again.

This should come as no surprise, since the Republicans have been scaring us for years and then telling us that they are the only people who are capable of keeping us safe.

They rolled out every boogie man you could think of Monday night from immigrants to ISIS. Their message again is that they will protect us from all this evil.

This is fine if you disregard the fact that the deadliest attack on U.S. soil since Pearl Harbor, happened with a Republican at the helm. The rest of the evening was spent demonizing President Obama and Hillary Clinton.

And a note to you voters who believe that anybody would be better in the White House than Hillary Clinton. Be careful what you wish for, because you could wake up on November 9, 2016, to the news that you elected President Trump.

Now that's something to be scared about. Everyone be sure to vote this November.
