Blackhawks lead NHL with 21 national TV appearances

The Chicago Blackhawks are still ready for prime time.

The team leads the NHL with 21 national TV appearances in 2016-17. Nationally, the Blackhawks will appear exclusively on NBC (including NBC and NBCSN) 11 times, the maximum allowed per the league's national television agreement. Additionally, the Blackhawks will appear in 10 nonexclusive nationally televised games,

The Blackhawks' first nationally televised game is the season opener on Wed, Oct. 12 when they host the St. Louis Blues at 7 p.m. on NBCSN. Additionally, the game time for the Nov. 23 game at San Jose changed to 9 p.m. central

The local television schedule, including the preseason broadcast schedule, will be announced later in conjunction with the Blackhawks' exclusive rightsholders, Comcast SportsNet and WGN-TV.
