Gino's East targets Aug. 1 Rosemont opening
Gino's East is aiming for an Aug. 1 opening date for its new location in Rosemont village hall, officials said.
The pizzeria is relocating from 8725 W. Higgins Road in Chicago about a mile away to the first floor of the village-owned office building at 9501 W. Devon Ave.
Gino's last day on Higgins is scheduled for July 24, before moving equipment and setting up the new location, Mayor Brad Stephens said.
Work continues on installation of a new Gino's awning and pizza ovens in Rosemont.
The restaurant will replace Rosie's River Edge Tavern, which closed after less than a year in business.
