Harper College golf outing raises record amount for scholarships

Last month's Harper College Educational Foundation's 28th annual Golf Open raised a record $122,795 to benefit Harper's Promise Program and other scholarships, the college announced this week.

Nearly 130 golfers took part in the event, held June 13 at Inverness Golf Club.

"Harper's Golf Open is an opportunity to come together to support some truly deserving students and have some fun along the way," Michael Adzovic, annual giving manager of the Harper College Educational Foundation, said in a news release. "The event's growing success shows the community's commitment to education and student success."
