Beanstalk Toyland & Bookstore Partners With Families Halping Families
HIGHLAND PARK, IL (JULY, 2016) - Beanstalk Toyland & Bookstore in Downtown Highland Park is partnering with Families Helping Families to support the School Supply Charity Drive benefitting low-income students at six Waukegan-area schools. During July and August, Beanstalk is serving as a donation drop-off site for new school supplies, and is offering 15% off all in-store purchases.
"This school supply charity drive is the perfect opportunity to give back and help families and children in need in surrounding communities," says Pam Hillman, owner of Beanstalk Toyland & Bookstore. "We're very proud to support Families Helping Families and play a role in ensuring these kids have everything they need to head back to school!"
The community is encouraged to donate new back-to-school supplies, such as notebooks, pens, pencils, folders, backpacks, and any other essentials and drop them off to Beanstalk Toyland & Bookstore throughout July and August. Be sure to pick up a few extra supplies on your next back-to-school shopping trip and help a child in need!
ABOUT FAMILIES HELPING FAMILIES
Families Helping Families of Chicagoland (FHFC) was established in 2015 in support of low-income families in the Chicagoland area. Over the past year, FHFC has expanded its membership to over 1700 individuals in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. In an effort to improve the lives of children in need, FHFC organizes a different monthly activity to support local families and schools. By hosting a School Supply Charity Drive, FHFC hopes to provide local students with all of the required tools for their success.
