GOP will never be same if Trump wins

Responding to Debbie Beverly's letter of June 3, evidently no matter what Trump says, it is OK? The man is crude, crass, self-indulgent and has insulted anyone and everyone that questions him on any topic.

I re-registered as a Republican to vote against Trump in the Illinois primary. Donald Trump is not the "man" for the job and there have been so many Republicans that will switch to Hillary because of his rhetoric on foreign policy and national security.

The man knows nothing and doesn't seem interested in brushing up or reading about history and the world. His lies come almost on a daily basis, even though some may consider meaningless, but getting away with little lies almost always gives someone like Trump carte blanche to continue to bambuzzle the voters.

Unfortunately, there are too many uninformed voters, and Trump has played right into that aspect and anger (that he helped create) by his manipulation. This man doesn't understand how Washington works or the Constitution and the limitations on any president.

Though I have never been a Hillary fan, I cannot put aside my principles just to have a Republican president, and that is what many in the party have done. For all the angry voters, they had better look at themselves for voting into positions of power some of the same incompetents over and overt again just because of an R or D next to their name.

Dividing our country by race, ethnicity or religion is a recipe for disaster. If Trump is elected, I fear for this country, something I have never felt in all my years on this earth. The Republican party will never be the same again.
