McFun for Gary Elementary School

On Wednesday, April 20th, Gary School held a McTeacher's Night fundraiser at the McDonald's in West Chicago to raise money for the Gary PTO. The Gary McTeacher's Night was a fun way to bring the Gary teachers together and have the opportunity to meet the parents of students and members of the community while raising funds for the school PTO. And what a wonderful night Gary had, as the restaurant was full of families supporting the school as well as waiting to see their teachers, friends, Ronald McDonald and a lot of singing by the Gary teachers.

Teachers had so much fun at this community event where they were able to interact with families and students. Just about the entire Gary staff worked from the school including Principal Drake. The McTeacher jobs included, greeting guests, working the drive-thru, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, and lots of singing.

Gary McTeachers had it all covered, and the families enjoyed a great evening. The school plans to use the money raised to go into the PTO fund to help the school with the beautification projects which they are doing throughout the school. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out in their support. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the McDonald's in West Chicago. Special thank-you goes to Madie Ohl, who organized the entire event. The McTeacher's Night was courtesy of the West Chicago McDonald owners, The Lardas Family.
