Showing up at polls important for all voters

There are voters who ardently support a candidate to the extent that they say if their favorite isn't nominated by their political party that they will not support the candidate that they did not support. Worse yet, they assert that they will sit out the election.

Assuming that a Democratic voter would not be pleased if a Republican won the various offices (and vice versa of course), why would you not vote for your party's selection even if it was the lesser of two evils?

The only reason why a Republican is EVER elected is because the Democrats don't show up at the polls. There are just so many more people that care about others.

There is a technical term for those who choose not to show up and vote on Election Day. It's called 'dumber than a bag of rocks'!
