Special recreation bowl-a-thon

The Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County (SRACLC) Foundation will host the second annual bowl-a-thon on Friday, April 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Brunswick Zone-Hawthorn, 316 Center Drive, Vernon Hills. SRACLC provides a variety of recreational programs for individuals of all ages with disabilities. The SRACLC Foundation provides financial support for the programs and activities of SRACLC and creates awareness of recreational opportunities. Registration is open to all, as an individual, or team. The cost is $20 to bowl, but if you raise more than $75 in pledges, the fee will be waived. Each lane will receive two hours of bowling, shoes, a pizza, and a pitcher of pop. Contests, prizes and raffles will be held throughout the night. All proceeds will be going toward SRACLC Special Olympics training programs and Summer Day Camp.
