Harper opens doors to prospective students at Open House

High school juniors and seniors - along with their parents - are invited to see why more than a third of area graduates turn to Harper College to begin their journey in higher education.

Hundreds are expected to attend the open house, which runs from 9 a.m. to noon April 2 in the Wojcik Conference Center on the college's main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine. Convenient parking is located in lot 14.

Prospective students and their families can tour the campus; engage with a distinguished faculty panel about academic programs and possible career options; learn about scholarships and how to apply for financial aid; and get more information about honors programs, Phi Theta Kappa, study abroad programs and other opportunities.

In addition, attendees can learn about Harper's innovative partnerships including Engineering Pathways, which guarantees qualifying students admission to the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois, and programs in which students can complete their bachelor's degree at Harper's campus.

Harper will also provide more information about its growing number of apprenticeships in insurance, CNC precision machining, industrial maintenance mechanic and logistics/supply chain.
