Wheaton residents encouraged to take survey on trash services

In addition to seeking feedback on downtown redevelopment plans, Wheaton is asking residents to fill out an online survey about their trash services.

The survey, available at www.surveymonkey.com/r/WheatonGarbageSurvey, asks for residents' opinions on garbage, recycling and yard waste service, as the city re-evaluates its curbside waste collection program. It will be available until Monday, Feb. 29.

Feedback received by residents will influence the level and type of services they receive in the future, as well as how the program's costs are structured and how residents will pay for garbage and recycling services.

Questions on the survey ask residents how satisfied they are with purchasing stickers to pay for garbage and if they would prefer paying a monthly fee instead. It also requests additional information on which waste collection services they use and how often.
