Harper's Zivak earns repeat player of the week honor
The accolades keep rolling in for Harper College freshman Tamara Zivak, who for a second straight week has been voted NJCAA Region IV, Division III player of the week in women's basketball.
The freshman scored a team-high 16 points to go along with 4 rebounds and also blocked a shot in 28 minutes during a loss to Triton College on Wednesday.
This season, Zivak is averaging 8.5 points and 5.1 rebounds for the 4-20 Hawks.
Harper, in search of its first North Central Community College Conference win, travels to Glen Ellyn on Wednesday to meet College of DuPage in a scheduled 5 p.m. tip. The men's game between the same schools is scheduled for 7 p.m.
