All 6 College of DuPage trustees meet, vote for first time since November

Three College of DuPage trustees who had been boycotting meetings for more than two months were in attendance at two meetings Wednesday at the Glen Ellyn school, resulting in a quorum - and business getting done - for the first time since Nov. 19. $1 million bail for Downers Grove father accused of shaking infant

A Downers Grove man is being held on $1 million bail, charged with violently shaking his 3-month-old daughter and causing substantial injuries. Timothy Churchill, 20 of 4220 Lindley, is charged with one count of aggravated battery to a child younger than 13. Full story.

SWAT helps apprehend Wauconda man who threatened neighbors, smashed windows, police say

A SWAT team was called in to help Wauconda police apprehend a 26-year-old Wauconda man who was causing a disturbance by threatening his neighbors and smashing out the windows of his trailer Wednesday afternoon, police said. According to police, by the time village officers arrived on the scene around 2:40 p.m., the resident of Woodland Trailer Park had already retreated into his home. Full story.

Prosecutors: Downers Grove man shared thousands of child porn images

A Downers Grove man charged with storing and sharing thousands of pornographic images of children is being held on $100,000 bail in DuPage County. Anthony Damaska, 28, of the 600 block of Sherman Street, is charged with dissemination of child pornography and possession of child pornography, Full story.

Snapchat photo leads to arrest of Mount Prospect man

A pornographic Snapchat photo has led to charges against a Mount Prospect man who worked as a Northwestern University Police Department lieutenant, authorities said. Bail was set at $100,000 Wednesday for Ronald Godby, 53, of the 700 block of S. I Oka Ave., Mount Prospect. He is facing felony charges of manufacturing and possessing child pornography as well as grooming. Full story.

Grayslake uses financial lure for Butera Market

An economic incentive package potentially worth $750,000 is awaiting final Grayslake village board approval in an effort to bring Butera Market to a strip shopping center's vacant grocery space. Butera would occupy what most recently was a roughly 30,000-square-foot Farmers Market Place on the southeast corner of Center Street and Atkinson Road. Farmers Market Place operated for a few months in 2013 after a Piggly Wiggly in the same spot closed in December 2012. Full story.
