McFun for School District 23 at the New Mount Prospect McDonald's

On Thursday, January 21st, Eisenhower, Ross and Sullivan Schools held a very successful McTeacher's Night at the McDonald's in Mount Prospect on Rand Rd.. The restaurant was full of families supporting the schools as well as waiting to see their teachers, principals, and a visit from Ronald McDonald.

Teachers overtook the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for District 23 schools. Thirty-six teachers worked from the schools, including all three principals. Principal Meziere from Sullivan, Principal Lambatos from Eisenhower and Principal Curtis from Ross. The District 23 families were so thrilled to see all the Principals and teachers from all the schools. The McTeacher jobs included, greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, selling pies, serving ice cream, and even dressing up in a pie costume.

District 23 McTeachers had it all covered, and the families enjoyed a spectacular evening. The District PTO plans to use the $1300.00 raised to go into the fund to support the schools. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out in their support. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the new Mount Prospect McDonald's. Many teachers shared the pie costume duties but Principal Meziere set the bar very high for pie sales. Principal Curtis also worked very hard serving orders to the families. Special thank-you goes to PTO dining out chair, Rebecca Wood, who organized the entire event.
