Antioch woman killed in Ingleside crash

A 77-year-old Antioch woman was killed and another driver injured Wednesday morning in a two-car crash near Ingleside, authorities said.

Jaclynn Vos was pronounced dead after the collision, which occurred about 8:50 a.m. on Route 59 east of Wilson Road.

The surviving driver is a 37-year-old woman, police said. She was taken to Centegra Hospital in McHenry.

Vos was driving west on Route 59 in a 1998 Subaru Outback when she lost control and swerved into the eastbound lanes, Lake County Sheriff's Det. Chris Covelli said. The Outback collided with a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic that was headed east, police said.

Route 59 was shut down for more than four hours because of the crash.

An autopsy will be conducted Thursday morning at the Lake County coroner's office, officials there said.
