Signs of danger for Christian traditions

I just read on the front page of the Daily Herald today what I thought was outrageous, a Muslim group of girls, bringing their beliefs and traditions into a public school.

Can you imagine the outrage if a group of Christians staged a living manger scene in the cafeteria? Would explaining that they were just trying to get the Muslim students a chance to see why we celebrate Christmas be enough to calm them down?

I doubt it. I'm sure we'd have groups picketing outside the school.

I just spoke with a department store employee as to why they don't play Christmas music. I was told it offended some shoppers and employees and they weren't allowed to wish anyone a merry Christmas either.

She was speaking to me under her breath as if her job depended on anonymity.

We should all be very scared.
