Disturbing failings on life, marriage

It is beyond disturbing that anyone could discuss the monetary value of fetal body parts obtained through abortion and yet not acknowledge that the whole living human baby in utero composed of these "parts' as valuable beyond measure.

Both morally and obviously scientifically, these aborted children are human beings. Otherwise these "specimens" would not have any scientific research value.

All of us, young and old, know in our hearts and the deep recesses of our minds that these are human babies.

Equally disturbing and confusing is the recent Supreme Court ruling that marriage can be between same-sex partners.

Humanity knew for thousands of years that the union of a man and a woman can produce children, and the bond of marriage between a man and a woman is necessary for the raising of these children.

What was universally known and accepted is now gone with a simple judicial decree? When we don't know that we must hold in high regard life at the very beginning and don't know that marriage of a man and a woman is true and unique because this union can create new life, then we don't know anything.

How do we live with ourselves? What truths do we have left to teach our children if we do not know when life begins or where it comes from?
