Teachings of Islam support Constitution

As a Muslim born and raised in America, I take serious issue with Ben Carson stating that Islam is antithetical to the Constitution.

It is a pity that a highly educated man like him would issue an uninformed statement regarding a topic about which he has very limited knowledge.

He should have considered the following comprehensive verse of the Quran which unequivocally upholds the Constitutional principles of establishing justice, ensuring domestic tranquillity and promoting the general welfare: "Verily, God enjoins justice, the doing of good to others and giving like family; and forbids indecency, manifest evil and wrongful transgression." (Ch. 16, verse 91)

As a man of high stature, Mr. Carson should reflect upon this teaching and how it supports the Constitutional principles. Can he find such a comprehensive, truthful and beneficial teaching in any other faith?
