Grayslake Central sinks Woodstock

Grayslake Central d. Woodstock: Marie Gerbasi and Jaqueline Hamrick hammered 9 kills each, and Grayslake Central's girls volleyball team outlasted visiting Woodstock 18-25, 25-22, 25-16 in Fox Valley Conference Fox Division action Thursday night.

Allie Daul served a pair of aces for the Rams, while Lauren LaBeck dished out 36 assists and collected 11 digs. Grayslake Central (10-12, 3-3) also received 16 digs from Morgan Anderberg and 5 blocks from Nicole Cave.

"It was a great homecoming win for us on our home court over a much-improved Woodstock team," Rams coach Jason Janczak said. "Our team adjusted to their offense and was able to find holes in their defense. Our girls played well tonight."

Prairie Ridge d. Grayslake North: The Knights lost 25-6, 25-16, despite Kendall Buchman's 2 kills, 9 digs and 3 assists.

Taylor Johnston notched 13 digs for Grayslake North, Maddy Helm had 2 kills and Abby Fish registered 2 blocks.

Lake Forest d. Stevenson: The Scouts won 25-17, 21-25, 25-22 in North Suburban Lake action to deny the Patriots their 20th win of the season.

Stevenson (19-5, 4-1) got 10 kills from Jori Radtke and eight from Isabella Milejczyk. Katie Collins served 6 aces for the Patriots, and Corissa Kurth distributed 21 assists.

Libertyville d. Warren: Hannah Zerwas had 8 kills and 2 blocks, and the Wildcats captured a 25-15, 26-24 win in North Suburban Lake play.

Libertyville (17-5, 3-0) also received contributions from Anna Lillydahl (14 assists, 6 blocks), Annika Hawkinson (2 kills, 2 blocks) and Erin Dunleavy (3 kills, 2 blocks).

Warren (10-10, 1-2) received 3 kills apiece from Kim Hengesh, Jenna Walczak and Natalie McNally. Hengesh also delivered 3 aces. Nicole Berzin had 7 assists and 9 digs for the Blue Devils.
