Beware effects of letting judges rule

A letter to the editor recently, headlined "Best of all world's with no religion" hit upon a point of order, accidentally.

A quote: "Thus she is violating the law as laid down by our courts ..." It is interesting to me that the two biggest moral/cultural changing issues in my lifetime (abortion and gay marriage) have been interpreted into law by a few judges.

Yes, yes. I know it's their job to interpret the Constitution/law. But for 200 years, gay "marriage" never existed, and the taking of innocent human life was a capital crime.

"Interpreting the law" is very subjective. We have to be careful here or else before you know it, baby parts will be sold to the highest bidder, sexually confused individuals will be raising children, and people with a moral conscience will be thrown in jail.

And we don't want that "ordered" - do we?
