Chamber choir Antiqua Baroque at Harper

Harper College will welcome the touring chamber choir Antiqua Baroque for a concert at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Performing Arts Center on the College's main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road in Palatine. The performance is part of Harper's Cultural Arts Concert Series featuring guest artists.

Directed by Eric Johnson, Antiqua Baroque is in residence at Northern Illinois University and was founded with a mission; to perform and promote contemporary choral music and foster new composers for the art form. The group of professional, Chicago-area musicians has emerged as an energetic and accomplished vocal ensemble praised by renowned American composer Morten Lauridsen for presenting "choral artistry at its finest."

The concert is $5 for general admission and $4 for seniors. Harper students, staff and faculty can attend for free. For tickets, contact the Harper College Box Office at (847) 925-6100 or visit harpercollege.edu/boxoffice.
