Anti-drug group gets grant

A suburban group called the Stand Strong Coalition has received a $625,000 federal grant to battle underage drinking and drug use. The grant comes from the Office of National Drug Control Policy. The money will be spread over five years. The Stand Strong group, based in Vernon Hills, formed in 2014. It focuses on the communities served by Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire and the elementary and middle schools that send students to Stevenson.
