Rosary to host internet safety presentation for parents

Learn how to help keep your children and teens safe online at an Internet safety presentation at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at Rosary High School, 901 N. Edgelawn Drive in Aurora.

The presenter will be Special Agent Marc Bowers of Project iGuardian, a national cyber safety campaign that helps kids, teens and parents to be smart about online safety and stay safe from online sexual predators.

The presentation will discuss the dangers of online environments, hands-on tips on staying safe online, and how to avoid falling victim to online sexual predators. Agent Bowers will also cover resources parents can use to protect their children from cyber predators and monitor kids' online activity.

All area parents are invited to this program. This event is for parents only; Rosary students will have a talk by Agent Bowers during a daytime assembly.

Project iGuardian was launched by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations in partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to curb the escalating number of children falling prey to sexual predators online.
