Men's Basketball Holding Tryouts September 29

The Harper College men's basketball team will be holding tryouts for the 2015-16 team beginning Tuesday, September 29 at 6 PM in the gym of the Wellness & Sports Center.

All interested student-athletes will need a current physical and must have it completed prior to tryouts. The paperwork can be picked up in the Athletics office in M Building (M219) or found here: Athletic Physical Packet Student Checklists Interested student-athletes can also fill out the Prospective Athlete Form.

In the 2014-15 season, the Harper College men's basketball team had many players receive awards. Davion Benton (Chicago, Ill. /Alcott College Prep) was named Second Team All-Region and Second Team All-Conference while also being named the Region IV Player of the Week on three separate occasions. He also earned Harper College Athlete of the Week honors. Finally, he provided the highlight of the year with a huge dunk over a College of DuPage defender, a highlight that made it to ESPN.com, SI.com, and ESPN's Sportscenter.

Admir Suljic (Chicago, Ill. /Lane Tech) was named the NJCAA National Player of the Week as well as Region IV Player of the Week twice. Finally, Robert Hudson (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Conant) and Marcus Gatlin (Chicago, Ill./Curie) were both tabbed Region IV Players of the Week.
