Marigold Maison now serving in Bannockburn

Upscale Indian restaurant Marigold Maison recently opened in Bannockburn. Owned by Lake Forest-based JNK Concepts, the restaurant prides itself on handcrafted spice blends and organic ingredients. Chefs don't use cream or butter, which keeps dishes lighter and healthier. Specialties include: seared eggplant, chickpea ceviche, gol guppa, chicken tikka, tikka masala, bhel puri, samosas and sang paneer. A new upscale family-friendly pizza bar Gia Mia has opened in downtown Wheaton. The creation of chef Brian Goewey, co-owner and chef at fire + wine pizza bar in Glen Ellyn, Gia Mia features Neapolitan-style pizza cooked in an imported Italian brick oven using farm fresh ingredients, handmade mozzarella and small plates.
