14-year-old Fenton student found dead

A 14-year-old Fenton High School student was found dead at his home on Thursday morning, police said.

Wood Dale police responded to the 100 block of Maple Avenue around 10 a.m. on Thursday and found a 14-year-old male who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release.

Foul play is not suspected and there is no concern for the public's safety, police said.

The boy's name has not been released.

A statement on Fenton High School's website said "School administrators and guidance department staff members visited classrooms and teachers read an announcement to students. School guidance counselors, social workers and school psychologists will continue to provide support to students during this difficult time."
