Consumers Credit Union Hosts 85th Annual Meeting

Waukegan, IL February 26, 2015: Consumers Credit Union (CCU; $640 Million; Waukegan, IL) will host its 85th Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Keylime Cove Resort in Gurnee, IL. The meeting is open to Members of the credit union and invited guests, including local high school seniors who've each earned one of six (6) $1500.00 scholarship winners from Consumers Cooperative Association. The meeting will also feature the election of four (4) Members to the credit union's Board of Directors.

The Annual Meeting agenda includes a "welcome" and opening remarks from John R. Janezic, CCU's Chairman of the Board, followed by Sean Rathjen's President's Report, detailing the credit union's 2014 financial performance. Those attending will have an opportunity to see how CCU compares to other financial institutions on both a local and national level. Next on the agenda, Members will vote for representation on the all-volunteer Board of Directors. Those unable to attend may vote in advance by proxy ballots, which are available at all six CCU locations and online at www.myconsumers.org.

"The meeting provides one of the primary privileges of Membership: the opportunity to elect Directors who will serve on our Board. We'll also provide important highlights from 2014 and take a look ahead as we outline plans for the current year. Members also have the chance to mix and mingle amongst themselves and enjoy a great meal, while the credit union expresses our appreciation to our Members for their business."

Nominees for election to the Board include the following (listed alphabetically by last name, alongside city of residence; incumbents are identified with an "I" following their names): Alice Clements (I), Buffalo Grove, IL; Daniel Colbert, North Barrington, IL; Laurence Cornel, Streamwood, IL; Bernard Dost, Vernon Hills, IL; James Mahnich, Lake Villa, IL; Kenneth Robinson (I), North Chicago, IL; John Schwab (I) Waukegan, IL; Christina Villafuerte, Waukegan, IL; and Yale Wolk (I), Lindenhurst, IL.

Approximately 300 Members and guests are expected to attend the meeting, held this year at Keylime Cove Resort, 1700 Nations Dr. in Gurnee, IL. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. 2014 Annual Reports will also be distributed at the meeting. Tickets are available at all CCU branches for $15.00 on a first-come, first served basis; no tickets will be sold at the door.
