No injuries in Schaumburg car fire

No one was injured after a car went up in flames Tuesday night, according to the Schaumburg Fire Department.

The driver of the car told police she had smelled something burning and pulled the car over, Schaumburg Fire Department Capt. Dan Johnson said.

Although they were originally dispatched to the wrong location due to misinformation, firefighters eventually found the car on West Frontage Road south of Golf Road. Upon arrival, they found an SUV fire and extinguished it.

Although the cause of the fire is undetermined, Johnson said it appears it originated from a possible electrical problem.
