Lots to love around town ... except bumbling Bears

It's always cold.

But alas:

Call me a cockeyed optimist, but as dreary as this Bears stuff is — and it's Neill Armstrong dreary — there's a lot of good things happening around town these days.

It starts:

With the two tenants of the United Center, both of whom have found their groove and absolutely should be playing well into May … and beyond.

Then you've got the White Sox, who appear all in for next season. And the Cubs, who are getting very, very close.

So in conclusion:

Cheer up, it's gonna get good around here soon.

Regardless of how the Bears finish the season, if Marc Trestman is brought back to coach next year, what would your optimism level be?

If the Bears, who are celebrating the 50th anniversay of drafting Dick Butkus and Gale Sayers, finish with a top-10 pick and Phil Emery is the guy making that pick, what would your optimism level be?
