Schaumburg student receives NLEAFCF scholarship

Danielle Perri of Schaumburg is one of 23 recipients from across the nation of The National Law Enforcement and Firefighters Children's Foundation Scholarship.

Perri, whose father Joseph was permanently injured in the performance of his duties as a Schaumburg police officer in January 2000, received the scholarship in recognition of her exceptional leadership, community service and scholastic achievement.

She is a student at Marquette University majoring in Biological Sciences with a minor in Spanish for health professions. She aspires to be an orthodontist.

The foundation is dedicated to helping the children of law enforcement officers and firefighters lost or permanently disabled in the line of duty.
