Need to elect leader to represent citizens

I am outraged that Mexico President Nieto spoke in California recently about the need for immigration reform in the United States. A U.S. Marine has been imprisoned for months after crossing into Mexico.

Illegal immigrants from Mexico number 15 million and the U.S. government does not know who they are or where they are. About 40 percent of these illegal immigrants or six million overstayed their legal visas and the federal government cannot or will not track them down and deport them.

Yes, the visa system is broken due to lack of a system of adequate federal enforcement. These illegal immigrants are the reason for the 7 percent unemployment rate in Illinois. The 1986 amnesty for three million illegal immigrants resulted in today's illegal population of 15 million.

A number of Illinois elected members of Congress want to repeat the mistake of the 1986 amnesty. The November election will give the people of Illinois, particularly those unemployed, the opportunity to follow the action of the voters in Virginia and "Cantor" those elected officials who do not support the Constitution or represent the values of the people of Illinois.

We need to elect Illinois representatives in November to represent legal citizens and not the 15 illegal immigrants from Mexico, including the six million who overstayed their visas.
